For teams and groups

Accountability that encourages, not exposes

Savings groups, small teams, friends with a shared target: people keep money habits far longer when someone else can see they are keeping them. Moneva makes that visible — the action, not the amount — and adds challenges, streaks and badges for those who want them.

What a group gets

Momentum without surveillance

A feed of actions

"Grace contributed to the equipment fund." "Yves closed October on budget." Members see that things are happening. Amounts appear only if the owner turns them on and the viewer has permission.

Challenges with a finish line

A no-spend week, four weeks of contributions, a month of same-day recording. Join, see who else is in, complete it together.

Streaks and badges, optional

XP, levels and badges reward consistency, not size. Turn gamification off for yourself or for the whole space; budgeting works the same.

Comments and reactions

Celebrate a milestone or ask a question on an activity. Block a member or report a comment if something goes wrong; reports go to the moderation team.

Shared goals

One target, many contributors, each contribution under its owner's name. Progress is visible to the group; nobody has to ask who still owes.

Boundaries built in

Personal spaces are never visible to a group. Members choose what to share; owners choose what the feed shows.

Habits, not surveillance

The Habits screen shows the week's four goals — log five days, stay under one line, save something, do the weekly check-in — the discipline score, the challenges running this week and templates to start one.

  • The discipline score is a 0–100 reading of budget adherence, logging consistency, savings progress and review habit, each with its weight and the figures it was measured from.
  • Challenges have a clear rule and an end date; everyone in the space can see who is in.
  • Points, levels and badges can be switched off per person and per space; nothing else changes.
The Habits screen: level 1 Starter with 40 XP to level 2, a 1-day streak, a weekly dot row and 2 of 11 badges, a discipline score of 69 drawn as a ring, this week's habits (log 5 days at 6 days logged, stay under School at 54% used, save something, weekly check-in) and the challenges section.

How group accountability works

  1. Create a group space and invite members. Decide the roles: who approves, who records, who only watches.
  2. Choose what the space is for. A shared savings goal, a shared budget for a small team's expenses, or simply mutual encouragement where each member keeps their own budget and the feed shows actions.
  3. Set the feed policy. Actions only is the default and the kindest choice for a group of twenty neighbours. Amounts on is fine for a team of four who already share a bank statement.
  4. Pick a challenge together. Challenges have a clear rule and an end date. Completing one records an activity everyone can celebrate.
  5. Review as a group, briefly. Who kept their streak, which goal reached a milestone, what one thing each person will change next period.

Small teams and associations

A church fellowship with a monthly fund, a sports club buying equipment, a cooperative's running costs, a small business with three people and one till: group spaces give each a shared budget with an approver, line owners and an audit history, without the cost or weight of accounting software. Contributions are recorded as income, spending against lines, and large payments through expenditure requests that commit the money before it leaves. See project budgeting when the work has phases and milestones; a one-off event is the same space with a single short budget.

Treat other members with respect; the terms of service set out what is not allowed in shared spaces, and blocking and reporting are always available.

Questions

Group questions

Will my group see my amounts?

Not unless the space owner turns on amounts in the feed and the viewer has permission. By default the feed shows actions, not figures.

Can I turn off points and badges?

Yes. Gamification is optional per person and per space; the budgeting features work exactly the same without it.

What if someone misbehaves in a group?

You can block a member, report a comment, or leave the space. Reports go to the moderation team.

Bring your group

Create a free account, start a group space and invite the people who keep you honest. Actions, not amounts, by default.
